Zappos is looking for an analytical and creative individual with experience in fashion ecommerce and knowledge of current footwear trends for a Site Merchandiser position.
This role would be responsible for curating and merchandising assortments to support features, campaigns, and additional emails as well as maintaining both seasonal and evergreen assortments across the site to promote discovery. This person will ensure Zappos offers an exceptional customer shopping experience through our merchandising strategy. They demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and execute product placement, visibility of key items, and priority ordering of all applicable pages with autonomy. They are proficient in excel and has the ability to quickly learn how to navigate new programs. The Site Merchandiser works well under pressure and have the ability to quickly pivot when needed, and are able to handle multiple and competing priorities and adhere to deadlines.
The role is 100% onsite in office (Madison, WI or New York).
Key job responsibilities
• Validate all site assortments, including product categories, brand pages, trend assortments, and special promotions.
• Execute product placement, visibility of key items, and priority ordering of all applicable pages.
• Curate assortments to support featured stories and additional promotional emails.
• Maintain seasonal and trend assortments to support large campaigns and promote discovery.
• Provide site linking based on feature creative and copy that aligns with current merchandising strategy.
• Leverage site analytics to understand performance and customer interactions with brands, categories, and other assortments.
• Identify and work with cross functional partners to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Manage additional special products as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management
- Experience in e-commerce, start ups, advertising, commercial
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $53,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
