GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Wyoming Girls’ School (WGS) is a therapeutic and educational facility for the treatment of court-ordered delinquent girls ages 12-21 years. The mission of the Wyoming Girls School is to provide therapeutic and educational services for the development and treatment of girls in a safe, nurturing, and trauma-responsive community. This position provides supervision and monitoring of youth during the night shift (10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.). Qualifications PREFERENCES: Preference may be given to applicants with a high school diploma, plus one year of work experience with the public or youth. KNOWLEDGE: + Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal abilities. + Knowledge of physical and non-physical intervention skills in crisis situations. + Skills in observation, basic report writing, and verbal/non-verbal communication. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Youth Services) OR Education & Experience Substitution: 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Youth Services) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: + Must remain awake and alert during shift. + Must complete the mandatory State of Wyoming and Wyoming Girls' School Training.
