Job Description
The salary for this position starts at $70,000. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.
1. Job Summary:
The Youth and Family Services (YFS) Senior Program Director is responsible for overseeing multiple YFS program areas which may span across functional areas within the department. Responsible to develop, deliver, and administer varied program portfolios of all facility and community-based youth support programming. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, supervising, and developing team members.
2. Essential Functions:
· Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop team members, interns and volunteers under your portfolio/direct supervision.
· Assist with training and development of team members, interns and volunteers related to portfolio or as requested by leadership.
· Create, develop and sustain programs, services and activities including pilot projects for all facility and community-based programming in portfolio.
· Build and maintain relationships with grant/contract managers and key personnel to support collaborative partnerships and effective delivery of services in alignment with grant/contract requirements.
· Lead complex program evaluation and data collection processes for multiple stakeholders, including state, county, local and federal sources.
· Serve as lead operations partner with Mission Advancement for writing and assembling grant proposals, program budgets, work plans, logic models.
· Create, interpret and implement grant objectives/outcomes into service delivery, and work with leaders to ensure the collection of appropriate data.
· Collaborate with data administrator to ensure internal data systems are set up to appropriately and effectively collect, measure, and report on data related to each grant/contract.
· Audit and evaluate data and collaborate with Mission Advancement to complete contracted reporting requirements.
· Manage portfolio budgets to meet or exceed revenue goals while working collaboratively with YFS leadership.
· Create, interpret and manage budgets, assist with financial billing and reporting requirements, and ensure financial and program service goals are attained.
· Represent the YMCA on external boards and committees to drive collective impact.
· Assist in the development/delivery of or engage in programming and community events and activities.
· Communicate and interpret YFS programs, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to all department team members, volunteers and Y members and participants.
· Deliver a high level of service for all program participants.
· Assist YFS leadership with creating and implementing action plans to address community disparities.
· Participate in a staff leadership role for the annual campaign as defined by YFS leadership.
3. Relationships:
This position reports to the Program Executive for YFS. The incumbent interacts regularly with staff, members, and the community. This position requires regular interaction with youth, families, and community partners from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
4. Qualifications:
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, corrections, youth development, or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a youth support setting preferably working with at-risk youth.
· Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
· Experience in managing state and federal funding streams for at-risk youth.
· Experience with case management of at-risk youth.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various groups to achieve a desired end result.
· Ability to develop and manage budgets.
· Must be organized, self-directed, and creative.
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
· Must be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid Training, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Training will be available upon employment.

5. Work Conditions:
· Ability to travel to a variety of locations for training, meetings, etc.
· Ability to work on a computer for an extended period of time.
· Ability to respond and remain calm in escalating situations.
