**ABOUT THE POSITION**
The summer session of the UW Continuum College Youth and Teen Program (YTP) runs Monday–Friday, June 29 – August 21, 2026. Approximately 100 youth enrichment classes (mixture of online and in-person) will run over 8 weeks, serving approximately 1500 school-aged youth, 4th-12th grades. The YTP Coordinator will support both online and in-person classes, with an emphasis on in-person classes held on the UW Seattle campus.
The YTP Coordinator serves as the face of the program to students, parents and staff as well as the UW community at large. Coordinator works in conjunction with the YTP Team (Directors/Program Administrator, and other program staff) maintaining daily operations of the program. This seasonal position begins part-time in the spring and transitions to full time in June and concludes in late August. YTP coordinators must be able to work effectively under pressure and tight timelines, track complex operations and have demonstrated skill in supporting youth and program administration.
Prior to hire the Youth and Teen Program Coordinator is required to demonstrate up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification and complete all compliance training (for example, Safe Interactions with Youth, Reporting Abuse and Neglect, etc.)
This temporary staff position rate is: $26.46 to $28 an hour.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Facilitate daily communication with students, instructors, instructional assistants, program administrators, volunteers, and parents.
+ Work in the program’s online registration system, running reports, creating rosters, and manipulating various templates.
+ Assist with classroom management, instructor support, and supervising lunch period and on-campus field trips.
+ Schedule and coordinate field trips, volunteers and guest speakers, managing Canvas course sites are managed by coordinators based on strengths.
+ Assist with course evaluations, attendance management, and communication.
+ Oversee student behavior management as needed to ensure safety.
+ Conduct/participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
+ Assist with organizing, inventorying, and daily cleanup and storage of class materials
+ Other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Ability to support all class sessions from late June through August.
+ Youth development experience in formal/informal settings (e.g., schools, camps, afterschool programs, sports, etc.).
+ Ability to multi-task and set daily priorities.
+ Work under pressure.
+ Ability to work outdoors and escort students across campus as needed.
+ Ability to move materials to and from classrooms up to 50lbs, using accommodations if needed.
