**Job Title: Yard Worker** **Job Description** This role involves working around the landfill to perform laborer duties such as moving materials, checking and changing pumps, digging, inspecting, and using basic hand tools. **Responsibilities** + Perform general labor tasks including moving materials and inspecting equipment. + Check and change pumps as needed. + Dig and inspect landfill areas using basic hand tools. + Operate heavy equipment as required. + Assist in waste removal processes. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of general laborer experience. + Proficient in using hand tools. + Experience in yard work, construction, heavy equipment operation, farming, or landfill operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions. + Background in construction, farming, or manual labor. + Willingness to perform laborer duties. **Why Work Here?** Employees are given 20 hours of PTO to use per quarter starting after the first quarter of employment. Holiday pay is available while on contract, and raises are offered based on performance. There is an opportunity to travel to other sites and receive a per diem. **Work Environment** The role involves working at the landfill, which is a dirty environment with an odor. The position requires working outdoors 100% of the time. The schedule alternates between Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional weekend work required. Weekend work is voluntary, and shifts are typically 40-60 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. Employees are expected to be open to a rotating schedule and on-call responsibilities. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
