Yard Operator

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Yard Operator to support day-to-day operations at our refinery site. This is a hands-on role focused on general site maintenance, material handling, and assisting maintenance and operations teams as needed. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and comfort with physical work in all weather conditions.

Hourly wage negotiable based on experience (preferred starting range: $20–$25/hour, with flexibility for the right candidate) Opportunity for wage increases based on performance Paid lunch and coffee break Built-in cleanup and shower time at the end of each shift Overtime opportunities when approved Flexible scheduling when prior notice is provided WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Perform general maintenance and manual labor around the refinery site Load and unload deliveries. Assist with storage organization and housekeeping Operate forklifts year-round for material handling and site organization Conduct snow removal in winter and lawn care during the summer Operate skid steer as needed, primarily for snow removal Attend and actively participate in daily and monthly safety meetings Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance shop.  Support plant shutdown activities, including extended shifts during scheduled shutdown periods WHAT YOU BRING: Strong work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitude Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labor Forklift operating experience Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and getting dirty Willingness to wear a respirator and comply with clean-shaven requirements Ability to follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings Flexibility to work overtime and extended shifts during plant shutdowns
