Join us - You’ll be proud to work for a successful, stable, growing company that is 100% committed to the safety of its Associates, helps families live lives better, and serves our communities in this time of need.** **Excellent Total Compensation Package for Our Distribution Center Associates!** **Pay $23.00 per hour** **Full-time positions available** **Pay increases at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years!** **1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with mandatory overtime** **Our warehouse benefit package is one of the best in the industry!** **Benefits include medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, short and long term disability, flexible spending accounts, 401(k)** **,** **primary care giver, parental leaves, daily pay, and employee assistance program.** **Principal Duties & Responsibilities** **1.** **Transports trailers in a timely and safe manner.** **2.** **Keeps a constant supply of trailers to the Just-In-Time, Shipping and Receiving departments.** **3.** **Recognizes and addresses potential problems that may shut the Distribution Center down and/or stop the flow of traffic on the yard.** **4.** **Notifies Receiving Manager, Shipping Manager and/or Transportation of all potential problems.** **5.** **Monitors the flow of trailers and traffic on the yard.** **6.** **Organizes the yard as to loaded, inbound, empty and identifies all trailers.** **7.** **Communicates with Carrier drivers as to proper location to drop loaded and empty trailers.** **8.** **Performs tire and equipment checks on the yard when applicable.** **9.** **Conducts pre-trip/post trip on Switcher equipment and notifies Transportation of any issues with equipment.** **10.** **Chocks and unchocks trailers per standard procedures.** **11.** **Reports any and all incidents or accidents to Transportation Management.** **Reports any and all incidents or accidents, during the off shifts, to DC Management.** **12.** **Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety, to include operating equipment at a safe speed.** **13.** **Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Transportation department.** **14.** **Follows all Company policies and procedures.** **15.** **All other duties as assigned.** **Family Dollar is an equal opportunity employer** Full time 4815 South River Rd,St George,Utah 84790 Transportation Family Dollar
