**Now Hiring: Yard Attendant** **Job Description** The Yard Attendant is responsible for performing essential yard functions, ensuring that all pertinent information is recorded on incoming vehicles, and assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of these vehicles throughout the sale process. **Responsibilities** + Check in vehicles by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility. + Thoroughly clean vehicles to enhance their appearance and value for auction. + Record vehicle information accurately. + Recover keys, license plates, and other objects from vehicles and store them appropriately. + Assist visitors by providing guidance or directing them to the appropriate person for further assistance. + Wash cars, remove license plates, and provide general cleaning services to maintain a clean and safe facility. + Monitor yard activity to ensure compliance with company policies. + Report all violations of company policy immediately to a supervisor or manager. + Operate passenger vehicles safely to move them around the facility or for drive-through auctions. + Receive training in forklift and loader operation. + Assist with other yard functions as needed. + Take photos of cars using a camera as they arrive. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience + Manual labor skills + Cleaning skills + Inventory management experience + Background in jobs requiring outdoor work such as landscaping or yard work + Tech-savvy with ability to use a camera **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and write at a high school level + Strong attention to detail + Valid driver's license and own vehicle for transportation + Consistent attendance + Ability to interact effectively and supportively with customers and towers + Capability to perform or assist with light vehicle maintenance + Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., and perform activities involving stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods + General mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models **Why Work Here?** The company understands the value in every total loss vehicle and possesses the expertise to market inventory to the right buyers, including dismantlers, recyclers, auto body shops, rebuilders, salvage yards, and exporters.
