Workstation Technician

**CTG is seeking to fill a Workstation Technician position for our client.**
**Location:** Rochester, MN (2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
**Duties:**
+ Collaborate with Workstation Support Services and business units to ensure hardware and software orders are received, configured, scheduled, and installed.
+ Label equipment according to organizational standards and verify device specifications against purchase orders.
+ Document hardware configurations and ensure compliance with established technical standards.
+ Perform on-site installations, moves, adds, changes, and break/fix support while working independently.
+ Coordinate equipment relocations with departments and support teams as requested.
+ Serve as a technical liaison with cross-functional support teams (Help Desk, Applications, Materials Management, and other IT Infrastructure groups).
+ Provide basic end-user training and communicate hardware/software requirements, scheduling, and service impacts.
+ Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and replacement parts required for installations and repairs.
+ Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams to manage parts inventory and asset tracking.
+ Evaluate and process equipment in accordance with IT Security policies and data protection guidelines.
+ Participate in overtime and on-call support as required.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
+ Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
+ Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver high-quality customer service in a team environment.
+ Experience using ticket tracking systems and related documentation tools.
+ Flexibility to manage changing workloads, special projects, and high-priority requests.
+ Working knowledge of computer terminology and concepts (CPU, networking, client/server, LAN/WAN, Internet).
+ Ability to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate hardware or software solutions.
+ Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, work with arms above shoulder level, and lift up to 75 pounds.
+ Ability to distinguish colors.
**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
+ Two (2) years of experience supporting computer hardware in a customer environment.
+ Associate degree **or**
+ Two (2) years of technical school training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
**Education:**
+ High School Diploma required.
**Certifications & Licensure:**
+ Valid driver’s license required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $22.00 to $28.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
