Transform Workplace Safety and Protect Amazon Associates Through Strategic Initiatives and Proactive Risk Management
At Amazon, we're committed to creating the safest possible work environment for our associates. As a WHS Intern, you'll help develop and implement safety strategies that protect our teams and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
You will be at the forefront of workplace safety, partnering with operations teams to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks. Your work will have a direct impact on the well-being of Amazon associates by contributing to innovative safety solutions and ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.
Interns at Amazon Mexico work 6hs a day (30hs/week) for 12 months (between March 2026 and March 2027). Participants will join Amazon as Interns at our Mex Amazon Data Services.
Key job responsibilities
• Learn to conduct comprehensive safety audits to identify and mitigate potential workplace risks
• Develop the capability to analyze safety metrics and incident trends in order to design targeted risk-reduction strategies
• Support operations teams in implementing and maintaining compliance with safety policies
• Collaborate with site leaders to develop and execute continuous improvement projects
• Learn to investigate and document safety incidents, generating detailed reports and actionable recommendations
A day in the life
Your day will be dynamic and impactful, involving site visits, safety assessments, and collaborative problem-solving. You'll engage closely with operations leaders, conduct detailed safety audits, and develop strategies to enhance workplace safety standards.

Basic Qualifications
- Are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, logistics, computer science or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, charts, SUMIF formulas, and vlookup functions
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
Preferred Qualifications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
