**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent/Foreman to lead mid- to high-end residential remodeling projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership position, excels at coordinating trades, and brings a deep understanding of finish carpentry and residential construction. The position is full-time and located primarily in Los Altos & Palo Alto, with occasional projects across the South Bay and Peninsula. The Superintendent/Foreman will oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, supervise carpenters, maintain project quality, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, communication, and professionalism.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee all phases of residential remodel projects from mobilization through completion.
+ Manage daily jobsite operations, scheduling, and workflow to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
+ Coordinate and supervise in-house carpenters, ensuring high-quality workmanship, especially in finish carpentry.
+ Perform hands-on carpentry when needed to maintain schedule or quality standards.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
+ Schedule, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and specialty trades.
+ Review subcontractor work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to plans and specifications.
+ Communicate clearly with subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
+ Serve as the on-site representative, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
+ Provide regular updates to clients, addressing questions, concerns, and design or scope adjustments.
+ Work closely with clients to ensure their expectations are met and the finished product reflects the company’s standards.
+ Review plans, specifications, and finish schedules to ensure accurate execution.
+ Conduct ongoing quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Track progress, document changes, and communicate updates to the project manager or owner.
+ Assist with material takeoffs, procurement needs, and inventory management.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience in residential construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
+ Strong experience in finish carpentry; ability to perform high-end finish work when needed.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate complex remodel projects.
+ Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and finish schedules.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Los Altos, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
