Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician to join their team at their Grand Prairie, TX facility. This role will work closely with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to improve existing processes and help introduce and implement innovative technologies on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong technical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset that will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Schedule: Part-time, 30 hours per week (3–4 days; flexible)
Work Environment: Fully onsite

What’s the Job?

Support the materials team with improvements related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.

Conduct studies by researching, gathering, comparing, computing, and evaluating data to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, cost, and safety.

Develop and maintain systems related to warehouse and shipping processes, including layouts, material flow, equipment usage, and communication methods.

Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to support project implementation.

Manage priorities and efficiently utilize available resources.

Help develop and maintain standard work instructions to be used as training guidelines for new employees.

Work cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing, materials, design engineering, and finance teams to achieve plant goals.

Support the introduction and implementation of innovative manufacturing technologies on the shop floor.

What’s Needed?

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a technician role.

Strong understanding of assembly or manufacturing operations.

Knowledge of basic shop math and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

Preferred Qualifications:

CAD experience (required skill).

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Familiarity with SAP systems.

Manufacturing experience.
