Job Description

Due to a strong growth trajectory ahead for our Queensland Construction business, we are seeking a Workforce Training Coordinator to develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor programs and initiatives to ensure workforce training and participation targets, commitments, obligations, and outcomes are achieved.

Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and relevant external industry groups to drive workforce training and participation outcomes.Deliver presentations, facilitate meetings, and engage with various working groups to achieve desired workforce training and participation outcomes.Develop project-based programs and initiatives to increase participation and retention rates of apprentices and trainees and increase the uptake of construction workers completing education and training.Provide Queensland Government training policy support to project teams.Establish initiatives to strengthen the pipeline of marginalised candidates obtaining opportunities for employment and retention within the construction sector.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require:

An understanding of the relevant training policies, training services and guidelines within Queensland.Training administration experience gained in a medium to large organisation - ideally in the construction industry.Ability to work with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to lead the development of practical and engaging training programs.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
