**About the Role**
The Workforce Management Scheduling Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organisation has the right workforce in place to meet business demands. This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimising schedules that balance service level performance, employee experience, and cost efficiency.
Working in close partnership with Forecasting, Real-Time Management, Operations, and other key stakeholders, the Scheduling Specialist leverages data-driven insights to support staffing decisions, respond to intraday and business changes, and drive continuous improvement. The role also acts as a subject-matter expert in scheduling methodologies and workforce management tools, contributing to scalable processes and best practices across the organisation.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic, with the ability to translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable recommendations and influence stakeholders at all levels.
**Your Impact in Role:**
- Create, maintain, and optimise workforce schedules to meet service level, efficiency, and cost targets
- Perform intraday, short-term, and long-term schedule analysis to identify staffing risks and gaps
- Develop and manage short- and long-term schedules based on forecasted volumes, staffing needs, and business constraints
- Optimise schedules to achieve SLAs, occupancy, shrinkage, and productivity goals
**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum 2+ years of Workforce Management experience with a solid understanding of intraday forecasting and scheduling methodologies
- Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
- Hands-on experience with Workforce Management platforms; NICE IEX experience is mandatory
- Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and data management skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to design and implement processes from the ground up
- Proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively across all organisational levels
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and operational excellence
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience supporting multi-skill, multi-channel, or multi-site environments
- Experience mentoring junior schedulers or interns
