Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Workers Comp Specialist to join their team. As a Workers Comp Specialist, you will be part of the Human Resources department supporting the Claims Management and Employee Support teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Workers Comp Specialist
**Location:** Glenview, IL
**Pay Range:**
**Shift:** 0800 - 1700, Monday through Friday
**What's the Job?**
+ Investigate and process workers’ compensation claims to determine coverage and compensability.
+ File time-sensitive forms with third-party administrators (TPAs) and payroll to ensure proper compensation for injured employees.
+ Monitor claim status and maintain accurate records in HRIS or other tracking systems.
+ Coordinate modified duty assignments and return-to-work programs for injured employees.
+ Guide employees through the claims process, explaining rights, benefits, and responsibilities, while serving as a liaison between injured employees, supervisors, TPAs, and medical providers.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
+ 3–5 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims administration or HR benefits.
+ Knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
+ Strong communication and negotiation skills.
+ Proficiency in HRIS and claims management systems.
