Responsibilities
Represent insurance defense clients in workers’ compensation matters before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court.
Appear independently at hearings, mediations, and depositions.
Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
Review and analyze medical records, employment documents, and claim files to develop effective defense strategies.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and strategic guidance.
Manage all aspects of assigned cases while meeting filing deadlines and ethical standards.
Collaborate with colleagues on complex claims and legal strategy as needed.
QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Rhode Island Bar admission in good standing.
1–5 years of workers’ compensation experience.
Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a litigation environment.
Sound professional judgment and a client-focused mindset.
