Job Title: Wiring TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. This role will be responsible for assembling various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be part of a high-growth company.

ResponsibilitiesFollow safety protocols and procedures of the company, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.Use all tools in a safe manner and maintain a clean and tidy work area.Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.Ensure the quality of the structure by checking the product is level and square.Pay attention to detail when checking components used on structure builds for damages.Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to the required specification.Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, and order entry systems.Problem-solve using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards.Utilize various hand tools to accurately install material by following established procedures.Communicate progress of jobs in the area of assignment and identify problem areas or part shortages.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis for quality or production issues.Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.Assemble copper bussing according to design and check for correct spacing.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsStrong ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to multi-task, establish work priorities, and efficiently manage time.Proficiency with using a computer and CAD software to follow design structures.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a brand new facility that will eventually house 200-250 people. The environment is a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Safety is a priority, requiring steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and appropriate attire such as long pants and sleeves. The position requires standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Work will be on a rotating 2-2-3 shift schedule from 6 am to 6 pm. The first week will be dedicated to training before being assigned to a team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
