The Wiring Technician will interpret electrical schematics to assemble and wire electrical power systems, including switchgears and panels. This role requires the use of various hand tools related to sub-pan and systems assemblies within a production facility. The work is repetitive, focusing on learning to wire a panel based on a schematic and repeating this procedure to meet production volumes.
ResponsibilitiesInterpret and follow electrical schematics to assemble and wire electrical power systems.Perform sub-panel layouts, drill, and tap holes with minimum supervision.Wire sub-pans, door devices, and other power equipment under supervision.Utilize wire ways and looms for wiring, and demonstrate the ability to perform free-bundling.Wire simple relay circuits and perform daisy chaining with minimal supervision.Conduct mechanical assembly on switchgear/switchboard under supervision.Mount all pertinent equipment according to ISO standards.Wire and route harnesses neatly with or without the use of wire loom.Understand and apply knowledge of A/C and D/C voltages in wiring duties.Crimp wires and use hardware such as screws, bolts, nuts, and washers according to ISO Procedures Manual.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Essential SkillsExperience in electrical assembly and wiring.Ability to read and interpret blueprints or electrical schematics.Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Experience with point-to-point wiring and mounting.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred experience in electrical assembling and point-to-point wiring.Experience reading electrical schematics.Candidates with backgrounds in Siemens, Raytheon, military, or HVAC experience are valued.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled and located in a well-maintained facility. Contractors will work at a bench, wiring panels and switchgears, with all necessary tools provided. The workspace is spacious, and comfortable clothing is allowed. The shift is a four-day workweek from Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
