Wells Fargo’s Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) team is an integrated, forward-looking product organization with end-to-end payments, data, liquidity and associated lending solutions that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives in an evolving digital world.

We are seeking a senior product‑side SME to address critical gaps in MTS expertise, platform ownership, and cross‑functional coordination. Today, limited MTS fluency and fragmented accountability lead to reactive issue management, misrouted defects, and unmanaged impacts across Operations, Compliance, and Client Experience. The ideal candidate will bring deep payments and sanctions‑screening expertise to reduce stop rates, strengthen platform stability, and guide design decisions. This role is essential to mitigating year‑end high‑volume risk and achieving our goals
 

In this role, you will:

Lead the design and development of significantly changed, innovative, highly complex, strategic technology and processes, that have companywide impact, high risk, or have significant scope, cost, and benefitsLead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across cross functional teamDeliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, broad reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinkingProvide vision, leadership, and industry expertise in planning and execution of situations with significant risk and undefined conditions that influence companywide business and financial operationsServe as an authority advisor to experienced leaders and represent the company externally when working with vendors

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of payments related Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.Experience in eco-system of payments processing with emphasis to economic sanctions screeningProven experience of having executed payment processing improvementsProven experience of driving strategy to reduce false positive rates in economic sanctions screening.Experience in ACI MTS application and Fircosoft Sanctions screening application is a must.


Job Expectations:

A strategic payments product leader with deep technical and SME fluency, embedded in the front-office product management team. Acts as a bridge from Wires product and across technology, operations, sales, and client needs, driving support to the transformation of the wires platform.Drive business requirements within product and partner with technology to translate business requirements into scalable, resilient solutions.Define and evolve the wires platform roadmap aligned to client needs, compliance, and market trends.Collaborate with Operations to ensure platform changes align with processing realities and risk controls.Engage Sales & Relationship Managers to surface client pain points and co-create value propositions.SME & Technical Fluency - act as the product-side SME on wires architecture, payment standards, and platform capabilities.Governance & Decision-Making - own platform decisions and prioritization for the wires platform.Escalate and resolve cross-org ambiguity, especially where technology ownership overlaps.

This position is a hybrid work model.  Must be willing to work out of the office approximately 3 days a week

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
