Wire Harness Assembler
**Position Title:** Wire Harness Assembler **Location:** Centennial, CO **Type:** Contract to Hire **Overview:** We are seeking experienced Wire Harness Assemblers to join a high-performance team supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. This role involves the precise assembly of wire harnesses and electrical components used in aircraft and aerospace systems. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical documentation in a fast-paced production environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Interpret and follow detailed engineering drawings, wire lists, schematics, and work instructions to assemble wire harnesses to exact specifications. + Select appropriate wire types and gauges based on color coding, length, and marking requirements; ensure compatibility with connectors and components. + Route, bundle, and secure wires on harness boards using lacing, cable ties, and clamps to maintain organized and structurally sound assemblies. + Perform soldering and crimping operations using hand tools, soldering irons, and pneumatic crimping devices to attach terminals, connectors, and contacts. + Apply sealants, heat shrink tubing, and protective sleeving to ensure environmental protection and mechanical durability of harness assemblies. + Conduct continuity testing and insulation resistance checks using multimeters and automated test equipment to verify electrical integrity. + Perform visual and dimensional inspections of completed assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and customer specifications. + Document work performed, record test results, and report discrepancies or non-conformances to quality assurance personnel. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and production schedules. + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** + Previous experience in wire harness assembly or electrical component manufacturing preferred. + Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required for precise hand assembly tasks. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions. + Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and J-STD-001 soldering practices is highly desirable. + Basic math skills and proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical assembly. + Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds as needed. + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electronics or manufacturing is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
