Wire Cutter - 2nd Shift
**2nd Shift Wire Cutter** Job Description A Wire Cutter is responsible for coiling, spooling, cutting, and labeling wire according to specified customer orders. This position requires great attention to detail and accuracy. Responsibilities + Cut the wire to the length specified on the ticket order. + Label and deliver wire to the correct routing staging area. + Maintain organization and neatness in the wire room. + Be punctual and work diligently with co-workers. + Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day. + Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. + Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills + Production experience. + General labor skills. + Proficient in measuring and cutting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or G.E.D. + 1-2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in the electrical distribution industry. + Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally. + Reliable, responsible, and with a strong work ethic. Work Environment The work takes place in a very large and fast-paced warehouse of over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors, featuring a variety of different electrical parts. The warehouse is organized with racks and includes a dedicated wire room section. This is a brand new facility that opened in February 2024. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
