Windows File Systems Security Engineer, AVP

Who we are looking for

As a Windows File Systems Security Engineer, AVP you will be a member of our highly technical production support team, who supports security for the unstructured data environment. You will be focused on the daily goal of meeting established business Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the bank's internal/external customers, through the utilization of the Enterprise monitoring and triage tools provided. Emphasis on problem resolution, root cause investigation, third level problem detection, vendor engagement, maintenance of event/outage logs and assistance with hardware and software patch/product updates.

What you will be responsible for

As Windows File Systems Security Engineer, AVP you will

Utilize expertise for security related problem solving and risk mitigation.

Gather and understand requirements, integrate end-to-end technology build specifications, and catalog entries that fulfill requirements across platforms.

Understand architecture strategies and standards from the Infrastructure Architecture team as well as vendor capabilities to ensure a successful approach to the design of a solution.

Contribute to a wide variety of security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.

Interface with ETS Risk and Compliance to ensure that the SSAE16, SOX, etc. audit requirements are clearly factored into the Security solutions, with particular attention to monitoring and reporting.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of Data Security, processes, configurations, and changes.

Use Varonis to generate regular DATA Re-certification reports for the business.  

Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency.

Experience with development and/or scripting languages.

Experience in securing data

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Information Science related field

7-8 years of related work experience

Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously

Previous Customer Service experience preferred

 Additional requirements

Experience with NTFS security

Working experience on Varonis data collectors and policies a plus

Understanding of Windows File System structure

Experience in handling and administering permissions on Storage devices like NetApp , EMC , etc

Basic Microsoft Office operation

Ability to execute batch files and PowerShell Scripts

Ability to follow policies and procedures; attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills and decision making ability around complex problems

Excellent oral and written communication skills
