Job Description

As a Welder Fitter Apprentice, you will perform TIG/MIG welding on various assemblies and assist journeyman welders with fit-up and fabrication tasks. You will be required to read and interpret blueprints, use fixtures, and operate hand grinders. This position is located on-site in El Cajon, CA, with a four-day workweek 6am-4:30pm OR 4pm-2:30am Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities

Perform TIG/MIG welding on assemblies.Assist journeyman welders with fit-up and fabrication according to drawings.Read and interpret blueprints accurately.Use fixtures to complete tasks.Operate hand grinders efficiently.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with welding assembly and fixture usage.Understanding of GTAW and GMAW techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Possession of a personal welding hood.Willingness to work on assigned jobs both inside and outside the welding field.Ability to fabricate parts under supervision.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work in El Cajon, CA, four days a week. The role involves using various welding equipment and hand tools, with tasks performed both indoors and outdoors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
