Welder Fitter
**Job Title: Fitter** Job Description Join a dynamic and family-owned metals fabrication shop located in Oregon City. This role involves working on exciting projects for renowned companies, including SpaceX and Solar1, and requires expertise in both TIG and MIG welding. You will be responsible for fitting up and fabricating components off blueprints. Responsibilities + Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and smaller mild steel components. + Execute MIG welding on structural and high-stress parts. + Fit up and fabricate parts from blueprints. + Work on various projects including heat-treat housings and conveyor systems. + Handle custom fabrication tasks efficiently. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in stainless steel and mild steel fitting and welding with both TIG and MIG. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Ability to fabricate parts based on blueprint specifications. + Skilled in TIG welding on stainless steel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a fabrication shop environment. + Familiarity with flux core welding. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a custom fabrication shop specializing in both large-scale and small custom projects. The shop is family-run, with a small team of 15-20 employees. The current schedule is day shift from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OREGON CITY, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
