**Job Title: Welder Fitter** **Job Description** + We are seeking an experienced Welder Fitter to join our team on either 1st shift (6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday with potential Saturday work + This role offers a flexible schedule + The Welder Fitter will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, communicating directly with engineering, and working with minimal supervision **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly + Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies + Communicate directly with engineering when required + Operate overhead cranes with a capacity of up to 50 tons + Operate fork trucks and man lifts + Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally + Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments + Manipulate work using proficient fork truck and overhead crane skills **Essential Skills** + 5 years of blueprint reading experience + 5 years of Flux Core/MIG welding experience + 5 years of fitting experience + 1-inch plate fitting and welding expertise **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr. 2 weeks PTO, 401k, medical/dental/vision **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Auburn Hills,MI. **Application Deadline** This position is anticipated to close on Aug 16, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
