**Job Title: Welder/Fitter**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team for the 1st shift. This role is essential due to growth and increased business demands. The successful candidate will work independently and support various departments within the facility, including the trucking department, by building from the chassis up based on client specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform highly skilled MIG, TIG, and Flux welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum components.
+ Pass certification tests adhering to AWS Codes.
+ Follow blueprints to arrange metal pieces and tack them in position before welding.
+ Read engineering sketches and drawings, and understand welding symbols.
+ Weld in all positions including flat, vertical, and overhead; confined space work may be required.
+ Collaborate with team members to solve problems related to fit and operation.
+ Operate drills, grinders, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as needed.
+ Utilize strong mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills.
+ Use metal saws or shears and a wide variety of tools.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Flux welding techniques.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches and drawings.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
+ Experience with a variety of welding positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of experience as a Welder/Fitter.
+ Ability to accurately use measuring instruments such as tape measures.
+ Motivated and enthusiastic team member.
+ Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
+ Adaptability to frequent schedule and routing changes.
+ Physical ability to lift and move metal products weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Valid driver's license.

**Work Environment**
The role operates on a Monday to Friday 1st Shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed, typically extending until 4:30 PM and averaging 5-10 hours per week. The facility is non-climate controlled, providing a traditional work setting where employees take pride in their long tenure and quality of work.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westampton Township, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
