**Job Title: Welder Fitter** **Job Description** + We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team + This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, working closely with engineering when needed, and operating with minimal supervision **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly + Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies using pre-cut steel plates + Communicate directly with engineering as required + Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments effectively + Operate overhead cranes with up to 50-ton capacity + Operate fork trucks and man lifts safely + Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally + Use proficient fitting skills to manipulate work **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3 years experience in blueprint reading + Proficiency in 1-inch plate fitting and welding + At least 3 years of Flux Core/MIG welding experience + A minimum of 2 years of fitting experience **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr. 2 weeks PTO, 401k, medical/dental/vision **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Auburn Hills,MI. **Application Deadline** This position is anticipated to close on Jul 26, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
