Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder

Responsibilities

Gather necessary materials and begin job orders as outlined in the work order.Interpret and build from blueprint readings, determining how to cut, form, shear, and burn the product as required.Relay information effectively to the next person in the production line.Welding (MIG/TIG) and forming experience is a significant advantage.

Essential Skills

Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Experience in job shop environments.Proficiency in fabrication and welding.Physical ability to lift 40+ pounds and endure long hours of grabbing, bending, lifting, pulling, and standing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Fitting and welding experience (MIG/TIG).Laser cutting experience.High school diploma required; certifications, apprenticeships, or degrees are a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a job shop manufacturing environment with approximately 60 employees on the first shift. The role requires working in either of two buildings, which can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Safety gear, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes, is mandatory. Casual attire such as jeans and an appropriate T-shirt is acceptable. Hours are Monday to Thursday, with shifts from 4 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 1 AM. Overtime is scheduled every other weekend and some weekdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
