Metal Fabricator / Welder – Industrial Rotating Equipment

About the Role

Join our dynamic team specializing in the repair and manufacturing of pumps, turbines, compressors, and other industrial rotating machinery. We’re looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision craftsmanship.

What You’ll DoInterpret Technical Drawings: Read and understand engineering blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications for rotating equipment components.Fabricate & Fit: Assemble metal components to exact tolerances for high-performance machinery.Expert Welding: Perform TIG, MIG, SMAW, and flux-core welding techniques with accuracy and consistency.Operate Shop Equipment: Use press brakes, calipers, grinders, pipe threading machines, and plasma cutters.Collaborate: Work closely with machinists, mechanics, and engineers to ensure proper fitment and repair quality.Quality Assurance: Inspect welds and assemblies for dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols.Additional Support: Assist with teardown, cleaning, and reassembly of rotating equipment as needed.

What We’re Looking ForSkills: Fabrication, welding (TIG, MIG, SMAW), blueprint reading, fitting, flux-core welding.Experience: Minimum 3+ years in fabrication and welding within an industrial or manufacturing setting.Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and meet tight tolerances.Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
