Job Description
Join our team as a Welder and Fitter, where you will perform MIG and TIG welding on heavy-gauge tanks and vessels. Your work will involve delivering quality welds that pass various inspections and setting up and maintaining welding machines. You will also select correct filler metals, interpret blueprints, and prepare materials before welding.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and TIG welding on heavy-gauge tanks and vessels per ASME code.Set up and maintain welding machines.Work from blueprints and use weld gauges.Prepare materials before welding, including grinding and scale removal.Fit components for heat exchangers, tanks, vessels, and boilers.Measure, cut, and grind materials.SkillsProficient in MIG and TIG welding.Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols.Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloy.Work Environment
Work in a mid-size manufacturing company focused on welding, machining, and engineering. The environment is loud, with high standards for quality. Work hours are 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed. Dress code includes long pants, steel-toed shoes, and short or long sleeve shirts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
