Job Description

As a Flux Core Welder, you will play a crucial role in supporting custom metal fabrication projects, working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial metals. Your expertise will be essential in performing MIG and Flux-cored welding on various metal components.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and Flux‑cored welding on diverse metal components, ensuring strong and reliable welds.Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings to complete jobs with precision.Collaborate with production and engineering personnel to achieve project goals.Maintain consistency with project specifications, material requirements, and quality standards.Operate within shop conditions, adhering to safety procedures and using personal protective equipment.Work independently, managing time efficiently and effectively.

Essential Skills

Proficient in Flux Core and MIG welding techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Mechanically inclined with strong welding and fitting skills.Experienced in steel fabrication or machining environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces.Knowledge of welding shop hazards and safe operation of tools and equipment.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cherry Valley, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
