Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
The role involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and parts. You will be responsible for working with blueprints, fitting, and fabricating materials with precision and expertise.
Responsibilities
Identify universal weld symbols and various materials.Set up and operate welding equipment.Layout, position, align, and fit components together.Read and interpret work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and schematics.Visually inspect completed welds to ensure adherence to specifications.Perform air arc gouging when removing welds or preparing weld joints.Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.Accurately cut, clean, de-burr, and prep parts for welding.Use rigging and crane/jib during operations.Essential Skills
3-5+ years of MIG welding experience.Proficiency in reading blueprints.Fitting and fabrication experience.Comfortable performing spray arc welding.Experience using metal-cored wire/flux core welding.Strong understanding of weld symbols.Experience in an industrial fab shop working around large-scale parts.Work Environment
The position is based in a fabrication shop with a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, and a swing shift from 3:45 pm to 2:15 am, Monday to Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. The environment involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and high places. The noise level is moderate, and safety is a priority.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
