**Job Title: Welder and Fabricator** **Job Description** This role involves working in a steel bending and fabrication metal shop, primarily focusing on structural steel projects using carbon steel. However, there may also be opportunities to work with other metals and welding processes. We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG welder interested in a long-term position with growth opportunities. **Responsibilities** + Perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG techniques. + Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components. + Interpret and work from blueprints and welding specifications. + Operate shears, grinders, torches, and other metalworking tools. + Ensure all welding work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in MIG and TIG welding with at least 3 years of experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications. + Experience with stainless steel welding. + Skilled in operating shop tools and equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3+ Years of MIG and TIG Welding experience. + Must be willing to join Local 516 Union upon 180 days of employment. + 6g Certification or ability to get certified is a plus. + Experience in structural steel fabrication. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package upon conversion to a full-time direct hire, which includes full coverage insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) with monthly premiums paid by the employer. The facility provides a supportive atmosphere with iPads for all workers to assist with daily duties, and regular opportunities for bonuses based on attendance and production. A weld test covering overhead, horizontal, vertical, and flat positions is required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
