**Job Title: Welder and Fabricator** **Location: Sandy, Oregon** **Job Type: Contract to Hire** **Position Overview** We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will perform MIG (.045/.052) and dual shield welding, ensuring all welds meetx-ray D1.5 standards. You’ll work from blueprints with minimal supervision, handle layout and fitting tasks, and operate various tools for scarfing, cutting, and grinding. Your craftsmanship will directly impact the quality and appearance of our painted parts. **Key Responsibilities** + Perform MIG (.045/.052) and dual shield welding to x-ray D1.5 standards. + Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols independently. + Execute layout and fitting work based on project specifications. + Operate scarfing, cutting, and grinding tools safely and efficiently. + Maintain high-quality welds with clean finishes on painted components. + Consistently weld lengths ranging from 12" to 36" with precision. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in 1G–4G welding positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. + Skilled in 6G welding techniques. + Comfortable working with materials up to 1" thick. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with MIG, FCAW, sub arc welding, tank fabrication, blueprint reading, and fitting. + Experience in tank building or similar heavy fabrication environments. **Why Join Us?** + 100% Employer-Paid Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents. + 401(k) with up to 8% Company Match + Paid Time Off (PTO) + In-House Certification Opportunities to grow your skills and career. **Work Environment** Join a close-knit team of 30–40 employees in a specialized shop focused on tank building and field support for large manufacturing clients. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overtime: Substantial opportunities available **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
