Welder – 1st Shift (Custom Job Shop)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (rarely past 4:30pm)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic custom job shop team. In this role, you will weld metal components according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders, while setting up and adjusting your own welding equipment. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to take projects from start to finish.

Key ResponsibilitiesWeld metal parts according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders.Set appropriate welding equipment and select correct wire size based on material thickness and grade.Inspect completed welds and document findings on inspection sheets.Perform heavy plate welding using cored wire in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.Assist with fitting tasks, including taking parts through the entire fabrication process.Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG and TIG welding.Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints for custom projects.Strong understanding of basic shop math (down to 1/16\" or 1/32\").Experience using standard hand tools and shop equipment.Preferred QualificationsAWS D1.1 certification (preferred but not required).Experience in fitting or fabrication.Why You'll Love Working HereComprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.Generous paid time off (PTO).A stable first-shift schedule with consistent work-life balance — overtime is rare and typically ends before 4:30pm.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
