Job Title: Welder $27/hr. - $31/hr.
Shift :
3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with potential for a 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Job Description
Operate welding equipment to build and weld poles using GMAW (MIG) welding.Weld metal components in flat and horizontal positions.Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.Operate oxy/acetylene burning and plasma cutting equipment.Prepare poles for final weld off.Use IFS labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and move tags.Read and utilize blueprints to properly weld scheduled work.Pass and maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and customer-required certifications in GMAW welding.Set up, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.Make mathematical calculations to finish welding products to proper specifications.Operate machinery such as Base Press, Rounder, Straightener, and forklift, if qualified.At least 1 year of production welding experience or a technical welding degree from a trade school.Proficiency in Pulse welding, MIG, and Flex core welding.

Work Environment
The work environment is heavy industrial, requiring jeans, steel-toed shoes with a metatarsal cover, and a shirt. The campus is very large and candidates may need to drive from building to building. It is a highly industrial environment that can be noisy and, at times, dirty.
