Job Title: WelderJob Description

The welder will be responsible for using TIG and stick welding techniques for pipe fabrication in process piping. The role involves welding stainless steel and carbon materials, primarily working with schedule 10, schedule 40, and sani-tube. Understanding and interpreting schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of pipes and devising welding plans are crucial aspects of this position.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble and install a variety of metal pipes and pipe fittings, including some stainless steel.Perform own gouging to ensure welds are clean and do not require rework.Clean, prepare, and install pipes with various fittings and weld joints according to standardized protocols.Collaborate with pipe fitters to address and correct any potential welding issues.Adjust flames and gauges to ensure appropriate handling of compressed gas or water pressure.Thread piping as required.Assist millwrights and participate in training to become multi-skilled.Essential Skills3 years of experience in pipe welding using TIG and stick welding techniques.3 years of experience in overhead welding.3 years of pipe fabrication experience.Familiarity with 6g welding, though on-site experience is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with MIG welding and fabrication.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work sites are located in the greater Memphis area, including Memphis, North Mississippi, and Arkansas. You will work in team settings at project sites, with typical hours from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to complete jobs. Long sleeves are required, and after a few weeks, you'll be provided with a company shirt. You must bring your own hood, steel-toed boots, and can bring your own tools and gloves. Occasionally, work may require overnight stays out of town, for which compensation for gas and a daily per diem are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
