Welder – Marine Vessels (Richmond, BC)

Full-Time | Mitchell Island | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

If you’re an experienced welder who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and quality, this role offers hands‑on challenge, stability, and a workplace that genuinely values its people.

About the Role

As a Welder, you’ll perform welding, maintenance, and repair work on small to large marine vessels. You’ll fabricate custom prototypes from supplied drawings, complete structural repairs, and support ongoing vessel production. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and confidence welding in all positions using pulsed GMAW push‑pull equipment.

What You’ll DoSet up and weld mild steel using pulsed GMAW push‑pull equipment in all positionsInterpret drawings and blueprints to fabricate and repair componentsUse welding and manual flame‑cutting equipment for repairs, modifications, and retrofitsPerform maintenance on vessels of various sizesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Work EnvironmentIndoor and outdoor work, including confined spaces and elevated areas up to 25 ftUse of Wire Feed welding machinesRequired PPE: steel‑toed boots, welding helmet, safety glasses/goggles (provided)Bring your own basic tools (e.g., chipping hammer)Located on Mitchell Island, Richmond, BCStandard shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with potential overtime and occasional off‑site travel

Essential Skills & Experience3+ years of marine welding experience3+ years welding in all positionsExperience with flux, aluminum, and mild steelProficiency in FCAW all‑position weldingAbility to read and interpret blueprintsSpool gun experienceComfortable welding in all positions, including overhead
