Job Summary

We’re hiring MIG Welders to support production of steel and aluminum consumer and industrial storage and climbing units. This is a true production welding environment focused on efficiency, consistency, and quality. Entry‑level candidates are welcome and training is provided within a structured production process.

What You’ll DoOperate MIG welding equipment to produce steel and aluminum partsSet up welders, make necessary adjustments, and replace wire spools and tipsPerform tack welding and MIG welding depending on station assignmentAdd components to units as required during the welding processRetrieve parts from baskets, skids, or floor and move finished products to conveyors, baskets, or designated stacksPerform visual and periodic measurement inspections using blueprints as a guideOperate grinders to remove excess weld, burrs, and welding wireRecord daily production output including part/model numbers and quantitiesReport equipment or mechanical issues to Maintenance or SupervisorMonitor materials and notify leadership of shortages or production needsWelding EnvironmentAll welding is MIG weldingSteel gauge range: 16–12 gauge4‑station production line1st station: tack weldingRemaining stations: MIG welding and component installationSkills & QualificationsMIG welding experience or trainingAbility to read and follow blueprintsFamiliarity with welding tools, grinders, and basic fabrication practicesExperience with flux core welding is a plusComfortable working in a fast‑paced production environmentKey Skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
