**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled welders to operate welding equipment in producing steel and aluminum parts for consumer and industrial storage and climbing units. This role involves setting up the welder, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring product quality through visual and measurement inspections. **Responsibilities** + Operate welders to produce steel and aluminum parts for consumer and industrial storages and climbing units. + Set up welders, make necessary adjustments, and replace spool of welding wire and tips as needed. + Obtain designated parts from baskets, stacks, skids, or floors, and place completed products on conveyor lines or designated areas. + Perform visual and periodic measurement inspections to maintain conformance with quality standards using blueprints. + Report mechanical problems with the welder to the supervisor or maintenance. + Record production output on daily reports, including part/model number and quantities. + Operate grinder to remove excess burrs, welding wire, etc., as necessary. + Monitor parts used and required for production, and notify the supervisor of material requirements and shortages. **Essential Skills** + Experience in MIG welding and operating welding equipment. + Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication work. + Possession of a welding certificate. + Experience with flux core welding and fabrication. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a true production welding format. + Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. **Why Work Here?** We offer a dynamic work environment where tenure is rewarded with raises every four months. The facility currently has six production lines, with a seventh being added soon. Each welding production line is staffed by four people, though we are currently short-staffed on the 2nd shift. The culture is respectful, with an open-door policy for all employees. The 2nd shift hours are 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime extending to midnight and a $1.25 shift differential. Currently, mandatory overtime is about 8-10 hours per week, with 5 hours on Saturdays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $49920.00/yr.
