**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled welder to perform TIG welding of stainless steel exhaust systems ranging from 1/8" to 1/2" thick. The role supports the automotive and heavy-duty industries by executing low-production welding and repair welding from robotic welds that may require adjustments. **Responsibilities** + Perform manual welding functions independently, primarily focusing on TIG welding of stainless steel. + Operate, set, and maintain manual production welding equipment for joining metal components according to defined welding processes. + Monitor quality and process paperwork while maintaining a clean and organized work area. + Run robotic weld machines or Continuous Resistance Welders as needed. + Troubleshoot robotic weld machines and train operators when required. + Meet fast-paced production requirements in a dynamic environment. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of TIG Welding experience in round welding. + 1+ year of experience in stainless steel welding with thicknesses of 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2". + 1+ year of experience in blueprint reading, including reading weld symbols and identifying metals and gauges of material. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3-5 years of TIG welding experience. + Experience with robotics is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy great insurance and benefits starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Join a team with a positive and supportive work culture. **Work Environment** The work environment is a fast-paced, yet clean and organized setting with some areas being louder than others. The facility operates on a 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, with occasional Friday shifts, and a 2nd shift from 4pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, with occasional Friday shifts. Equipment includes automated tube benders, welder machines, material handling robots, and PLC systems. Dress code requires compliance with all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes at all times in the plant. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
