We are seeking skilled welders to join our team in the columns area, focusing on welding steel columns for racking systems. This position requires working in a fabrication environment, with opportunities to advance to higher skill roles involving more complex fabrication tasks. Ideal candidates will have experience in MIG welding, although we are open to those who can successfully pass our weld test and demonstrate proficiency in laying solid weld beads.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on steel columns used for racking systems.Work in the columns area and south weld building, engaging in fabrication tasks.Create jigs for various pieces needed in higher skill-level roles.Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in fabrication and fitting.
Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding experience from tech school or practical experience.Ability to pass a MIG weld test.

Work Environment
This role is based in a typical fabrication plant environment, which can be hot during the summer and cold in the winter. The work area is dirty and dusty, particularly at the Maple Ave location. However, the Industrial Circle site, where bulletproof windows are manufactured, offers a cleaner workspace. Steel-toed boots and personal welding shields are required, and there is potential for overtime work, primarily during the latter part of the month to meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
