Job Description
The role involves performing welding on hard steel materials using mostly MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding. The focus will be on ultra-sonic welding requiring highly skilled welds on heavy materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thick. This position requires the ability to conduct own setups, layout fixtures, and fit-ups. Certification and training will be provided to weld all components of booms and other parts for concrete boom trucks. All welds are X-Rayed, certified, and require high detail.

Responsibilities
+ Perform MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding on hard steel materials.
+ Conduct ultra-sonic welding on materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thick.
+ Set up, layout fixtures, and fit-ups independently.
+ Undergo certification and training for welding components of concrete boom trucks.
+ Ensure all welding is X-Rayed and certified to meet high-detail standards.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience on heavy gauge material.
+ 1+ year of experience in reading blueprints.
+ Skilled in MIG welding techniques and blueprint interpretation.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in pulse hardwire and structural steel fabrication.
+ TIG welding skills are advantageous.

Work Environment
The work environment is laid-back yet team-oriented, focusing on independence and hard work. It is a clean, organized, and open welding atmosphere that is not overly loud or dusty compared to other shops. The facility is equipped with heavy cranes and machinery, with about 35 people including welders and fabricators. The standard work hours are 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime available, typically extending hours from 5am-3:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
