**Job Title: Welder**
Job Description
This role is for a skilled welder/fabricator responsible for manufacturing and producing custom housings.
The position primarily requires proficiency in MIG welding, with familiarity in TIG welding.
The work involves handling stainless steel and mild steel, with material thickness ranging from as thin as 20 gauge to as thick as 1/2 inch.
The job entails reading blueprints, utilizing tools such as saws and grinders, setting up welding stations, tack welding, and finishing welds with clean, strong beads that meet aesthetic and structural standards.
Responsibilities
+ Work from drawings and/or work instructions to set up parts and major components.
+ Use appropriate cutting and abrasive devices to prepare components for welding.
+ Measure and locate surfaces accurately and provide detailed inspection information as per work instructions.
+ Use suitable tools to contour weld parts and components to match complex and close tolerance configurations.
Essential Skills
+ 2 or more years of experience in MIG and TIG Welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in fabrication or working in a job shop.
+ Experience with blueprint reading, grinding, assembly, and using hand tools.
+ Familiarity with welding techniques such as flux core, stick welding, and wire feed.
+ Knowledge of working with materials like stainless steel, mild steel, and carbon steel.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
