**Job Title: Welder** Job Description Join a dynamic custom job shop serving over 100 diverse customers. As a welder, you will take a blueprint, select appropriate materials, fit them up, weld according to specifications, grind welds if necessary, and perform inspections before shipment. You will utilize MIG, TIG, and Flux welding processes, working predominantly with stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, and other exotic metals. Responsibilities + Interpret and work from blueprints and welding symbols. + Select appropriate materials for each project. + Fit up parts for welding and fabrication. + Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Flux core processes. + Grind and finish welds as necessary. + Inspect completed work to ensure quality and specifications are met. + Build parts from blueprint to finish. Essential Skills + Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Flux core welding processes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. + 2+ years of experience in welding with both TIG and MIG. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of welding experience. + 4+ years of experience with TIG/MIG/Flux processes. + 2+ years of pipe welding experience, with 6G certification in the last position. Work Environment Fabrication shop environment with a diverse customer base, with no more than 5% of the business coming from any single customer. The facility operates on a first shift schedule, with core hours from 6am to 3pm, and flexible start times as early as 4am. Average work weeks are 45-48 hours, with an early finish at noon on Fridays.
