Job Description
The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPlan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment utilizing wire feed welding techniques.Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using blueprints, measuring devices, cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.Conduct quality control evaluations on completed welds.Essential SkillsMig weldingFabrication1 - 4 years of experience with wire feed weldingSteel & Aluminum experience1-3 years of Fabrication with Welding & Layout experienceHydraulics and mechanical skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of a formal apprenticeship or welding programSuccessful completion of an in-company, three-year training program1-3 years of mechanical experience with hydraulics (preferred)Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a clean industrial shop that manufactures dump truck beds. Requires wearing specialized protective or safety equipment. Must be able to weld components in various positions and traverse facilities and machinery, involving physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and standing for long periods. Comfortable working intermittently at heights of 8 feet.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Snohomish, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
