Job Title: Welder & Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter to join our team, responsible for the structural layout and fitting of steel according to blueprints. You will be involved in fitting, laying out, and fabricating structural steel projects, performing tack welds to fabricate steel pieces for welders. Proficiency in MIG welding structural steel in both vertical and horizontal positions is required, with certification in 3G welding preferred, though training will be provided. The role also involves working with machining equipment such as plasma cutters, shears, and presses to assist in fabrication. A well-rounded candidate with experience in structural steel and the ability to read blueprints on digital devices is ideal.

Work Environment

Work in a small family-owned welding/fabrication shop, exposed to varying temperatures. Collaborate with 15-20 others and operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment. The first shift runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime starting at 5:00 am, including Saturdays. Bring your own hood and steel-toed boots as tools are supplied.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
