Job Description
As a Welder, you will perform a variety of duties to support manufacturing, including setting up and using MIG welders according to job requirements. You will be responsible for laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting components together, as well as bolting, clamping, and tack welding parts to secure them in position for welding. Additionally, you will repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, which may include cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch work. Reading blueprints or following verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication according to customer requirements is also a critical part of the role.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and use MIG welder according to job requirements.Layout, position, align, and fit components together.Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.Perform repairs using cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch.Read blueprints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication.Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety.Essential SkillsProficient in welding, grinding, and blueprint reading.Ability to set up and troubleshoot welding machines.Capability to train others.Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction.Experience in serving as a lead within shop areas.Additional Skills & QualificationsD1.1 Certification preferred.Proficiency in flux core and aluminum welding.Experience in fitting within a manufacturing environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor shop settings and outdoor areas, requiring preparedness for cold and hot conditions. The facility is not temperature-controlled during summer months. The paint prep area can be very loud and dusty due to sanding and equipment operation, with occasional paint fumes from a smaller paint booth.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
