Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Production Welder to join our machine shop team. The role involves completing repetitive welding sub-assemblies and assemblies using 3/8\"-5/8\" mild steel with fixtures and guides. You will be expected to read and understand ship drawings and weld symbols to perform your duties effectively.

ResponsibilitiesOperate as a full-time Production Welder in a machine shop setting.Complete repetitive welding sub-assemblies and assemblies using 3/8\"-5/8\" mild steel.Read and understand ship drawings and weld symbols.Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks.Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for long periods while working.Utilize shop fabrication tools such as band saws, drill presses, grinding tools, and hand tools.Communicate clearly with team members regarding work tasks.Essential SkillsAbility to perform MIG and TIG welding.Capability to produce commercial-grade, aesthetically pleasing welds.Experience with shop fabrication tools like band saws, drill presses, grinding tools, and hand tools.Comfortable working in shop conditions, which may be dirty.Reliable personal transportation.Strong communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsProduction welding experience is beneficial.Proficiency in TIG welding.Ability to read drawings and blueprints.Skill in welding both steel and aluminum.Experience using layout tools such as combo squares, protractors, calipers, and measuring tapes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial machine shop, which is greasy and dirty but well-organized. The team consists of 7-9 welders, each focusing on different areas. Welders are stationed in the same section of the shop.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Petaluma, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
