Job Title: Welder

Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for making raking systems for large warehouse companies through production welding. This role involves repetitive work, focusing on wire feed/MIG welding at a 20,000 square foot facility in Delta, BC. You will work on very light gauge welding, primarily with mild steel.

Work Environment

The position is on the manufacturing side, working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and alongside 12 other welders. The work is repetitive, focusing on welding hardwired, mild steel, 10-14 gauged. The role requires a personal vehicle due to transit schedule limitations after hours. The shift is Tuesday-Friday morning, with the possibility to transition from temporary to permanent status.

ResponsibilitiesOperate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.Operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.Fit, torch-straighten metal.Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment.Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding.Operate welding machines to fabricate metal parts and products.Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Perform 5S duties including day-to-day cleaning and tidying.Assist in other areas of the shop as required.Undertake other duties as needed.Essential Skills3-5 years of welding experience.STWBReliable transportation (non-transit).Ability to read blueprints for welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift ticket.CWB ticket.C ticket for welding.Why Work Here?

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
